Here are scans of the machine slogan cancellations which were produced in the Republic. The slogans formed part of the "killer" portion of the cancel which appears to the right of the date/time impression. A bibliography follows stating the primary source material for this project. PDF copies are made available there, as well. The dates in the right hand column are the first and last known dates of cancellation, but this does not mean continuous use. Because new discoveries constantly change our knowledge of when slogans first were used, they are listed in the approximate order of their appearance.
I have begun to document the Earliest Reported Postmark (ERP) and the Last Reported Postmark (LRP) for each slogan. The dates are listed in the right hand column below. To see the full cover of either, follow the hyperlinks in the previous sentence. To see a table showing the ERP and LRP dates and ownership, click here.
If you have a scan of any missing slogan, or have a clearer or better scan of a slogan, or find a slogan outside the posted known dates, then by all means sent a scan to me, Robert Littrell, for reporting and posting.
